I really wanted to like these products, I purchased them as a gift but unfortunately, I was very disappointed.
The items were advertised as having a “lime, orange, grapefruit and mandarin” scent, but in reality, two of the products had almost no scent at all - in particular the lip balm which had absolutely no scent whatsoever, and the other two products were extremely faint and barely noticeable.
According to customer service, this is normal and the scent should become more noticeable once warmed (applied to the skin.) However, applying the product would void my ability to return it, so that wasn’t an option for me.
I requested a return on the grounds that the products were not as described. The return was accepted as I had not used the products, however it is frustrating to be left out of pocket from postage costs for a product that was not as described.
If you’re buying these products expecting a noticeable fragrance, I’d advise caution as the description is misleading regarding the fragrances.
The natural ingredients and products themselves may be pleasant to use, I am unable to comment on this, but in my case - the scent, which was the key selling point for me, was effectively absent, resulting in a waste of time and money.
For this reason I wouldn’t shop here again, nor would I recommend kutis skincare to a friend.
When looking at products containing essential oils, it’s fair to assume that the product will carry a noticeable scent prior to use. As this is not the case with these products, it would be helpful to your customers if you advised in the product description that the scent may not be noticeable until the products are warmed on the skin.
